My New MUST Do - LA Times Festival of Books

In April, I attended the LA Times Festival of Books for the first time. The event featured panels from authors in every genre. From Matthew Perry to Tahereh Mafi, the author of the fantasy Shatter Me series and wife of Ransom Riggs (the author of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children), there was something for all book lovers.

I admit, my guilty pleasure is romance novels, and there were tons of panels for people like me. I got to meet some of my favorite authors, and I am not too proud to admit that I fan-girled HARD. There was a three-book limit for signings, and lucky for me, my partner also loves romance novels. That means we could get up to 6 books signed by a single author!

The best thing about the festival was getting to attend panels of authors I love while also getting to learn about new authors I hadn't heard of before. Needless to say, I came home with so many new books, I needed to get a new bookshelf. It was worth it!
